Our History
In 1960, my grandfather, Giovanni Di Iorio, left his small hometown near Naples, Italy and brought his baking skills and desire to work to New York City. He helped my parents, Pasquale and Maria, establish Del Ponte’s Bakery in Brooklyn, NY and trained them in the traditional ways of baking artisan Italian breads. Today Del Ponte’s Bakery in Bradley Beach, NJ is the evolution of my grandfather’s vision and humble beginnings.
We’ve been here since 1999 bringing you the highest quality and most delicious baked goods, including cookies, cakes, pastries, and of course, bread. And we haven’t just relied on our fifty-plus years of experience in the bakery business. My family and I have worked hard to stay ahead of industry standards by expanding our knowledge. While we continue to use my grandfather’s baking traditions, we’re constantly challenging ourselves to find new, innovative ways to bring you the very best that we have to offer.
